Harper's Ferry is, of course, the site of John Brown's famous raid. It's also the confluence of the mighty Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers. I wanted to convey some of the mystery of time and legend that I always feel when I visit such sites. This painting went through many revisions before I was finally happy with it; with the result that I don't have a current image of it. Stay tuned.
